Greetings from Seacraft Classics,

I hope Spring has made it to your neck of the woods. After a very mild-but-long winter, we are anxious to get out on the water.

I've been enjoying some great books lately, and want to share a yachting-focused book with you.

I highly recommend Bruce Knecht's "Grand Ambition". This book is a well written, and at times, gut-wrenching true account of building a 187' yacht at Trinity Yachts in Gulfport, MS during the recent financial crisis. The story vividly captures the travails of not only the yacht owner, but the designer, Trinity management, and, most importantly, the everyday lives of the hundreds of skilled workers who built this yacht.

We are part of an industry that continues to evolve during changing economic realities. We are all connected in this process and their story. It is a tribute to individual resourcefulness under very trying times.
