The Lockheed Constellation was one of the most graceful airliners ever built. A long fuselage and gently tapered, upswept wings, the sleek Constellation suggests a seagull in flight. Nicknamed the "Connie," it entered service with TWA in 1946 and was used on both transcontinental and transatlantic flights.
