Atlantic was built in 1903 at Shooter's Island, New York. This 185' steam schooner yacht set a record as a pleasure vessel under sail for crossing the ocean for which she was named. Atlantic won the Kaiser's Cup in 1905 by crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 12 days, 4 hours, 1 minute and 19 seconds, at an average speed of 10.4 knots for the 3,014 miles.
A complimentary copy of the book, "Atlantic, The Last Great Race of Princes" by Scott Cookman comes with the Atlantic model.
